earth friendly, home friendly custom fine art

Loving your environment

Using elements of your leftover trim and interior paint with a wide variety of pigments and media from the artist's studio, AGS will present you with a piece of art that is truly a part of your home, not just within it.

Founded in 2007, AGS Custom Interiors uses leftover paint from a remodel or new construction project. Collaborating with the owner or interior decorator to structure the design of one or several pieces of wall-hanging artworks using, wherever possible, reused/reclaimed wood as frames or design elements, canvas, burlap or wallpaper as well at trim and interior paint colors and stains and other recycled materials.

The intent and focus being that the entire home itself is a work of art, and the art within should reflect the styles and values of the homeowner, to inspire and invigorate the interior space to the highest degree.

Beginning with a discussion of the space where you live and work, the ambience you want to convey, we together will sketch out the design of the piece. The end result will be a work of art completely unique from all others, and one you will be excited to return to every time you come home.

Using an environmentally friendly process of reducing the amount of waste, reusing materials typically regarded as useless and recycling by continuing the process into further generations of conservation, AGS Custom Interiors will save your excess paint from a dump or landfill, and incorporate other elements that reduce the environmental impact of home renovation. At the same time, you will have a custom piece of art of which you can be proud.

These custom designed artworks are a great way to highlight innovative conservation techniques and provoking thoughtful conversation with your guests or clients.
By choosing to conserve waste wherever possible, the positive environmental impact choices of the homeowner, company or institution can be seen clearly by all, with the clients' vision at forefront.

AGS Custom Interiors also operates as a for-hire consultant, guiding the execution of interior spaces for comfort and enjoyment with a strong drive for environmentally conscious practices such as use of alternative hardwoods, re-purposed materials, and paints free of volatile organic compounds.

Check out Drew Stone's vivid abstract wall-hanging art - a crafty solution for remodeling waste. His biz, AGS Custom Interiors (U.S. Green Building Council member), is all about repurposing interior and trim paint (VOC-free) from construction projects, along with burlap coffee bags from Caffé Vita, recycled packing paper, jute, and hemp into paintings for your home. He can also use personalized bits from your own home - like vintage wallpaper from the remodel.
